What type of damage will void the warranty on my cameras?


The following is a list of many possible actions that will void the 1-year warranty on any Zmodo product.
(Please note, this list serves to provide examples and is not all-inclusive.)
  • Permanent alterations, for example:
    • soldering
    • filing
    • severing cables
    • drilling
    • painting
  • Weather damage on cameras that are not rated for outdoor use
  • Power damage related to:
    • power surge
    • lightning
    • power outage
    • using the wrong voltage power supply
The following are examples of actions that will NOT void the warranty:
  • Opening camera to refocus the lens
  • removing outer casing of DVR to check internal connections
