Note: Navark>iark>gatark>iark>ng the DVR's menu system ark>iark>s most easark>iark>ly accomplark>iark>shed usark>iark>ng the mouse that came wark>iark>th the DVR.

After havark>iark>ng connected a monark>iark>tor and your cameras to the DVR, and wark>iark>th ark>iark>t powered on, rark>iark>ght clark>iark>ck the mouse. You wark>iark>ll see a toolbar at the bottom of the screen as sark>howark>n below. Clark>iark>ck on "Maark>iark>n Menu" and you wark>iark>ll be prompted to log ark>iark>n. The DVR has no default password so you may just clark>iark>ck log ark>iark>n ark>iark>f you have not changed ark>iark>t. After loggark>iark>ng ark>iark>n rark>iark>ght clark>iark>ck your mouse one more tark>iark>me to return your toolbar along the bottom and select "Maark>iark>n Menu" one more tark>iark>me.

ark>Iark>n the menu you wark>iark>ll start on the "general tab" along the top. You wark>iark>ll want to navark>iark>gate to the "Record" tab ark>iark>n order to begark>iark>n settark>iark>ng up motark>iark>on detectark>iark>on. Under the record tab you wark>iark>ll need to change the "Channel" lark>iark>ne to "All" as sark>howark>n below. Thark>iark>s wark>iark>ll allow us to adjust all the channels at once. Next you wark>iark>ll clark>iark>ck on the "Record Plan" settark>iark>ng sark>howark>n as the second photo below.

Now that we are ark>iark>n the record plan wark>iark>ndow you wark>iark>ll agaark>iark>n want to make sure the "Channel" settark>iark>ng at the top says "All". The "Mode" wark>iark>ll need to be set to Schedule, and you wark>iark>ll want to check the "Detect" box on perark>iark>od 1 as sark>howark>n below. Fark>iark>nally hark>iark>t "OK" ark>iark>n the bottom and you wark>iark>ll be returned to the Record menu.

For the last step you wark>iark>ll have to navark>iark>gate to the "Alarm" menu at the top and select the "Motark>iark>on Detectark>iark>on" settark>iark>ngs as sark>howark>n below.

For the last part of the setup we wark>iark>ll have to confark>iark>gure each channel you want on motark>iark>on ark>iark>ndark>iark>vark>iark>dually. ark>Iark>'ve sark>howark>n the fark>iark>rst two below. When the motark>iark>on detectark>iark>on page ark>iark>s up you wark>iark>ll set the "Channel" lark>iark>ne to 1. Next you wark>iark>ll check the "Enable" box to the rark>iark>ght and below on the "Record Channel" lark>iark>ne you wark>iark>ll hark>iark>ghlark>iark>ght the "1" box. That has now confark>iark>gured channel 1. You wark>iark>ll then change the "Channel" at the top to channel 2. When swark>iark>tched you wark>iark>ll agaark>iark>n check the "Enable" box, and then you wark>iark>ll hark>iark>ghlark>iark>ght "2" on the "record channel" lark>iark>ne. Thark>iark>s ark>iark>s so that when motark>iark>on ark>iark>s trark>iark>ggered on channel 2 ark>iark>t wark>iark>ll only begark>iark>n recordark>iark>ng channel 2 and not any other(thark>iark>s ark>iark>s also sark>howark>n below). Repeat thark>iark>s proccess for each channel you are settark>iark>ng up motark>iark>on detectark>iark>on on. When you've confark>iark>gured each channel press "OK"

After confark>iark>gurark>iark>ng motark>iark>on on the desark>iark>red channels you may now exark>iark>t out of the menu completely. You should now be set up to record on motark>iark>on only ark>iark>f the guark>iark>de was followed correctly. You may watch a camera and look for both the motark>iark>on and record ark>iark>con to appear when motark>iark>on ark>iark>s detected on any channel as sark>howark>n below.
