A note on Dynamic IP Addresses:
A Dynamic IP address will change every once in a while depending upon your ISP. When it changes you will need to update the IP address you are using to connect to your DVR by accessing a computer connected to the same router as the DVR, then checking the new external IP address by going to www.whatsismyip.com
There are two ways to prevent this:
1) Use Zmododns.com to associate a name to your external IP automatically. This is a free service provided to our customers.
2) Purchase a Static IP Address from your ISP. A Static IP Address will be more expensive than the standard Dynamic IP, but will not change.
