Overview

By default, this DVR is set to look for a BNC Video Input and not a VGA video input. Therefore when the client turns the DVR on and connects it to a VGA monitor, they will see all the camera channels but the mouse and front panel buttons will not seem to respond at all. This article will show you how to unlock and lock the menu.

Resolution

In order to unlock the menu interface on the DVR, you can press and hold the 0 button or the REW button on the front panel. Hold either button down for 7 to 10 seconds, you will hear a beep from the DVR, and the menu can now be accessed.

To prevent this from occurring again, you will need to Access the Main Menu, then go to the System menu, and select Video or A/V Setup . Change the "Output Device" or "Init Device" to VGA if connected to a monitor or VOUT if using the video out BNC port.

You can also reapply the Menu Lockup by holding down the 0 button or the REW button on the front panel for 7 to 10 seconds.
